Rocky Mountains

When traveling, a missed flight and an unexpected 10 hr. layover can be the worst, but when you are an adventure lover and your layover is in Denver, Colorado it is an awesome opportunity. When the travel gods extended my return trip from a commercial shoot, my second shooter David and I decided to take advantage of this layover and head to the mountains. We jumped in a car with a map in hand and headed to the Rockies. Despite being tired from our recent hard week of shooting there was an electricity pulsing through us as we had the windows down and the music up, knowing where ever this road took us it was going to be to incredible view. The mountains grew bigger and bigger as we approached and we veered off at the first scenic view spot. It was incredible, the air was crisp and smelled of pine and the sun danced behind the clouds.

We hung out long enough to see the sunset and headed to a delicious dinner in Denver. We may have had to take a red eye with 1 more connecting flight before we finally made it back to NewYork, but our escape from the airport made it bearable.
